Building Site Preparation
Building a Foundation for Success
Site preparation varies in every situation, and therefore requires a customized approach. However, we have compiled a comprehensive list of standard procedures that we typically undertake to prepare a building site. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 765-606-0195.
Land Clearing
Land clearing involves the careful process of temporarily setting aside topsoil for future utilization, selectively eliminating trees and stumps and ensuring sufficient open areas for the remainder of the project.
Excavation
This step is very significant as it profoundly impacts the long-term usability of the structure, with a primary focus on water containment and control. In the excavation stage we level the are for the building, parking area, and driveway while also do the necessary digging for basements and crawl spaces.
Compaction
Within the designated area where fill material is being relocated or transported, the process of compaction assumes a crucial role in guaranteeing the compression and stability of the materials. To prevent any subsequent settling once the site is leveled, the fill is methodically compacted in increments of 6 inches, ensuring a solid foundation.
Trenching
Trenching is for water channeling. We mainly do trenching for drain tiles for gutters!
Hauling
Hauling encompasses the delivery of necessary fill materials for the construction site, as well as stone for parking areas and driveways. This ensures a solid foundation for the project
Septic Systems
This pertains to situations where restroom facilities are present in the building but lack connection to a sewer system.
